Michelle has worked in film and TV casting for 8 years, training under Shaheen Baig - progressing to Associate and co-casting with Shaheen, as well as independently casting various projects in her own time. Credits and work includes Oscar winning short ‘The Long Goodbye’, 'Ali & Ava’, ‘Everybody’s Talking about Jamie’, ‘Calm with Horses’ , ‘The Third Day’, as well as HBO / Sky Atlantic’s ‘Little Birds’ as co-casting director. Most recently she has worked on the Apple TV series ‘The Essex Serpent’ based on the international best selling novel.

Welcome to HELL WEEK where actors will do FOUR back to back Casting Workshops in one week! Plus you get the chance to meet and mingle with each other at our Monthly Mixer on the Friday after.

MONDAY 30th JUNE 6.30pm - 9.30pm - REBECCA ROSSMAUR (ANDY PRYOR CASTING) FILM & TV CASTING WORKSHOP
Becky is currently the associate at Andy Pryor Casting. Before that she worked at Lucinda Syson and then Jina Jay Casting; well known for their work across Film and TV, most notably on Black Mirror (2016-2019), Bird Box (2018) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). Prior to Jina Jay Casting, Becky worked in Commercial casting with Lesley Beastall on various commercial projects. Becky’s most recent credits include Black Mirror (Netflix), Temple (SKY), upcoming feature films Dune and Enola Holmes (Legendary Pictures) and many others.

Sara currently works at Sophie Holland Casting. Throughout her time there she has worked on some incredible projects such as The Continental [Lionsgate/Starz], The Witcher [Netflix] and Constellations [Apple].
WEDNESDAY 2nd JULY 6.30pm - 9.30pm - ABIR MOHAMMED (BBC STUDIOS) TV CASTING WORKSHOP
Abir currently casts for the in-house casting department at BBC Studios where he was the main assistant for 'EastEnders'. Here he was able to assist the casting team with over 100 episodes of the soap, which included many actors' first TV credit as well as the new Mitchell family. He has a passion for platforming up and coming talent, and was able to cast for his own play 'Bhaijaan' in early 2025. Before that he worked as a Casting Assistant since 2022, where he assisted Vicki Thomson on shows such as 'FBI: International', 'Finders Keepers', 'The Mallorca Files' and more.
THURSDAY 3rd JULY 7pm - 10pm - LAYLA WOLF-ZARPAK (SHAHEEN BAIG CASTING) FILM & TV CASTING WORKSHOP
Layla has worked in Film & TV casting since 2010, largely as an Associate with casting director Shaheen Baig, and co-casting director on projects such as Peaky Blinders & God’s Own Country. She was nominated alongside Shaheen Baig & Yôko Narahashi at the 2020 TV BAFTAs for Best Scripted Casting for Giri/Haji, and also won an RTS award for Casting for the same project. Layla is currently working across various TV and Film projects at SBC; Recent credits include Netflix’s hit Adolescence’ helmed by Stephen Graham, Jack Thorne and Phil Barantini, TV series ‘Toxic Town’ with Robert Carlyle & Jodie Whittaker, & upcoming projects such as Nick Cave novel adaptation ’The Death of Bunny Munro’, with Matt Smith playing the title role and Clio Barnard’s Birmingham-set feature film ‘I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning’

The Monthly Mixers provide a relaxed and friendly environment for meaningful conversations and connections. Our guest doing the Q&A is casting director Nathan Toth of Harkin and Toth. This two part course will take you through from the basic sounds and features of general American to working with text, to seeing how your accent stands up under the pressure of a self tape.
The course dates run as follows: Saturday 12th of July 11am-5pm Saturday 19th of July 11am- 5pm
In session one we will cover all of the key sounds of general American. If you are new to the accent this will give you the essential foundation you need to build upon. If you are more experienced it will be a chance to further refine and hone your understanding of the subtleties of placement and resonance we will then be putting our accents into action, playing with the complexities of text and language.
In session two we bring character into play, work shopping scenes that you’ll have had the chance to rehearse over the past week. It’s an excellent opportunity to see how you perform under the pressure of a deadline and gain valuable insight in a professional yet supportive environment.
Material/ scenes will be different from prior courses making it suitable for those new to Rachel’s workshops as well as those who have attended before.
Rachel is an established voice and dialect coach who has worked in the industry - Theatre, T.V. and film - for over 25 years. Having herself begun her career as an actor, Rachel has a deep understanding of the needs of a performer and the vocal challenges they may face. With a Masters in Professional Voice Practice, gained in association with the RSC Rachel’s clients include Oscar nominees, Bafta award winners as well as those working regularly in the West End and on Broadway. Theatre, TV and film companies she works with include Netflix, Amazon, Warner Brothers, BBC, Apple TV, Disney, Royal Court and National Theatre. She is also on call for many leading agents to help their talent build confidence and learn an accent quickly when the pressure is on and a big audition comes in!

Having trained as an actor and worked on and off in the industry for over 10 years, Sarah transitioned into casting over 4 years ago and has since worked across theatre, television, commercials, and films. She has worked with Annelie Powell on “What’s New Pussycat “and Coming to England, Julia Horan on Macbeth at The Almeida with Saoirse Ronan, along with Ginny Schiller, Dan Hubbard, she is currently at Catherine Willis Casting. Sarah has also freelanced with Changelings Theatres rep seasons amongst other projects.
