Caitlin is currently working on several exciting projects including the new series ‘Warrior Nun’ for Netflix.

HOW THE WORKSHOP WILL WORK Actors will be assigned a scene or assigned a selection of scenes to choose from to self tape and submit back. The whole class will then join an online zoom meeting where each self tape is played back and critiqued one by one by the casting director. The session will then end in a Q&A.

This two part course will take you through from the basic sounds and features of general American to working with text, to seeing how your accent stands up under the pressure of a self tape.
The course dates run as follows: Saturday 10th of May 11am-5pm Saturday the 17th of May 11am- 5pm
In session one we will cover all of the key sounds of general American. If you are new to the accent this will give you the essential foundation you need to build upon. If you are more experienced it will be a chance to further refine and hone your understanding of the subtleties of placement and resonance we will then be putting our accents into action, playing with the complexities of text and language.
In session two we bring character into play, work shopping scenes that you’ll have had the chance to rehearse over the past week. It’s an excellent opportunity to see how you perform under the pressure of a deadline and gain valuable insight in a professional yet supportive environment.
Material/ scenes will be different from prior courses making it suitable for those new to Rachel’s workshops as well as those who have attended before.
Rachel is an established voice and dialect coach who has worked in the industry - Theatre, T.V. and film - for over 25 years. Having herself begun her career as an actor, Rachel has a deep understanding of the needs of a performer and the vocal challenges they may face. With a Masters in Professional Voice Practice, gained in association with the RSC Rachel’s clients include Oscar nominees, Bafta award winners as well as those working regularly in the West End and on Broadway. Theatre, TV and film companies she works with include Netflix, Amazon, Warner Brothers, BBC, Apple TV, Disney, Royal Court and National Theatre. She is also on call for many leading agents to help their talent build confidence and learn an accent quickly when the pressure is on and a big audition comes in!

This unique one-day workshop is a first of its kind collaboration between the London Meisner Company, and Mixing Networks.
Designed for actors seeking to refine their on-screen presence, this workshop blends the emotional depth and authenticity of the Meisner approach with practical skills for delivering compelling performances in front of the camera.
**Objective:** To equip actors with the tools to create truthful, emotionally connected performances using the Meisner technique, while translating these skills into effective on-camera acting for film, television, and digital media.
**Key Learning Outcomes:** - Understand the fundamentals of the Meisner technique, including emotional availability and listening and apply Meisner principles specifically to the demands of on-screen acting. - Understand camera awareness, framing, and technical considerations for film and TV performance. - Enhance confidence in making bold, authentic choices in front of the camera.
The day will consist of:
- A morning of doing Meisner exercises with Founder and Owner of The London Meisner Company Robyn Paterson. These will include Tone work, Single Word Repetition, Calling on Behaviour, Calling on Behaviour and Repetition with the text. The aim being to help free up your work.
- Lunch break
- An afternoon working with founder and owner of Mixing Networks Michael Gamarano Singleton on a chosen scene. Actors will be given a scene to prepare and work alongside each other on camera. They will be using the techniques given to them in the morning to help free up their screen technique and work with a director to guide them through the scene.
