We are the leading provider for audition and screen technique in the UK. We have been running casting workshops since 2011 and have gained a wealth of knowledge working alongside amazing casting professionals. With all this knowledge, we started running our classes in 2016 and haven’t looked back!
Here’s how it all works!

AUDITION AND SELF TAPING CLASSES
Level 1 – In The Room and Self Tape class
The course is aimed at professional actors looking to hone their audition and self tape skills. Everyone starts at Level 1 but on rare occasions we allow exceptions for actors to skip level 1 and move straight into level 2 but you must have extensive screen credits. Please email us if you feel like qualify for this. The course is taught by experienced teachers who use their knowledge and experience of working with casting directors to give actors the most up to date information. The course will go in depth about auditioning for drama, soaps and comedy with each script presenting a common pitfall so actors know how to avoid them going forward.
We have two types of Level 1 courses available to book – an in person class which is ran from our studio in East London or our online self tape class for those not based in London.

In the Room Class
The format of the class starts with taping the scene one by one, then talking through it, followed by watching the tapes back and given notes. Everyone goes again to tape a second time.
The class has a max of 12 people per class.

Self Tape Class
This is the self tape variation of the level 1 course. Once a week for 3 weeks, a small group of actors will be given a script to self tape and submit. The whole class will then review each tape and critique it. Everyone is given homework to do after each class. This particular course will cover the technical sides of self taping such as eye lines and lighting. Each class will last approx. 3 hours.
The class has a max of 12 people per class.
We are confident everyone will finish the level 1 course with a better understanding of what casting directors are looking for. You then have the option to put your new skills and knowledge into practice by joining the level 2 class upon completing level 1.

Level 2 – In the Room
Once you finish level 1, you are automatically eligible to join level 2. The format to level 2 is slightly different to level 1 in that the first half of the class is taping and the second half is watching the tapes back and analysing them one by one.
Level 2 also covers auditioning in more detail such as working with redirection, understanding multiple scenes and working with character briefs. It is a chance to put all the skills gained in level 1 into practice.
You will have to do multiple blocks of level 2 until your teacher lets you know you are ready for level 3. This is entirely down to individual consistency. On average it takes 2-5 blocks to move up to level 3.
The class has a max of 14 people per class.

Level 2/3 – Online Self Tape
Once you finish level 1, you are automatically eligible to join level 2.
In this online class, a small group of actors will be given a script to self tape at home.
The whole class will then join over zoom where each self tape is played back and critiqued by the class and teacher. This online class is open to both level 2 and 3. Actors will work on a range of genres and learn how to deal with such things as physically in self tapes etc. They will also work closely with character briefs. The class has a max of 14 people per class.

Level 3 – In the Room
This is the level 3 class that you must be approved to join after taking multiple blocks of level 2.
Level 3 is the same format as level 2 with the key difference being you are in with a group of actors who are working on a more consistent level. The feedback is more detailed in level 3.

The Masterclass
This is the top level camera class and must be approved to join. On average it takes 2-4 years of attending classes regularly to be able to be considered. In this class, we invite working professionals such as agents, casting directors and directors to sit in.

LOOKING FOR SCREEN TIME? SEE BELOW:
For those who are looking for more time working on camera then our drop in screen classes are the ones for you!
Our drop in screen classes focus more on 'on set' training so actors will be working with things like props and hitting marks. The sides are always drama in this class and you will be working with another actor on camera with a director there to help you. Each week will be a different script. Everyone stays in the room the whole time watching on TV. The footage is uploaded and sent after the class.
This class has a max of 8 people per class.
