HOW TO NAVIGATE OUR CLASSES AT MIXING NETWORKS

New to Mixing Networks classes and want to understand how it all works? Read about our classes below by expanding this box! ▼

We are one of the UK’s leading providers of screen-acting and audition training. We have worked closely with casting professionals since 2011 and began running our own classes in 2016, helping thousands of actors improve their confidence and on-camera technique.
If you're unsure where to begin, here is a quick guide to our classes:

Screen Audition Training (Stage 1–3)
This is our most popular route and the best starting point for actors wanting to strengthen their audition and self-tape skills.
Stage 1 — Auditioning for Camera – The Industry Standard course
Where most actors start. Learn our core on-camera audition technique, work on scripts for drama, soaps and comedy, and receive individual taping, group review and detailed notes.
Stage 2 — Auditioning for Camera – Intermediate Course
For actors who have completed Stage 1 or have equivalent experience. Work on more challenging scripts, faster pacing, stronger choices and multiple redirections.
Stage 3 — Auditioning for Camera – Advanced Course
For experienced actors aiming for a professional, casting-room standard. Focuses on complex material, high-level adjustments and delivering grounded, consistent performances.
The Self-Tape Class
Our online alternative class. Submit self-tapes and review them together over Zoom in a supportive group setting with an experience teacher leading.

On Set Training Course
Designed to refresh on-set TV/Film skills. Work with a partner on new scripts each week, focusing on hitting marks, props and practical on-set technique. Taught by an experienced director. Max 8 actors.

Comedy Course
Sharpen your comedy-for-screen technique. Explore styles such as sitcom, broad comedy and mockumentary, with guidance from an experienced director. Max 8 actors.

Drop-In Screen Classes
Weekly on-camera practice for actors wanting a quick tune-up. Work in pairs on new TV/Film drama scripts every session. Watch playback on screen and receive notes, with footage uploaded after class. Max 8 actors.

Foundation Course
Our 6-month core actor-training programme (application required). Ideal for newcomers or those refreshing their training, with modules in Stanislavsky, Voice & Movement, Meisner, scene study, self-taping, auditioning for camera and more. Concludes with a filmed showcase for industry professionals.

WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?
Auditioning for Camera – The Industry Standard All Day Intensive is practical training for professional actors who want to really learn about auditioning and self-taping for TV and film.
Designed for working actors, this course focuses on building a clear, reliable process you can apply to every script you receive.
Taught by experienced industry professionals, you’ll learn the most up-to-date casting expectations and how to avoid the common pitfalls that hold actors back. The day covers different styles of material - drama, soaps and comedy, with scripts chosen to highlight specific challenges and traps.

HOW THE COURSE WORKS
A very small group of actors receive scripts a week in advance. In the studio, each actor will be put on camera one-by-one. The class then reviews the footage together, guided by the tutor, before actors go again with refined notes and adjustments.
This repeated taping, reviewing, and re-taping is what creates rapid improvement and gives actors a deeper understanding of what truly works on screen.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear, repeatable audition process and a noticeable improvement in your on-camera confidence.

Most actors, including trained and working professionals, begin with Part 1.

The course dates run as follows:
Saturday 21/02/26 10am - 5pm
